Edward Sullivan knows a thing or two about heart-pounding acceleration. He apprenticed four and a half years as an aerospace engineer/mechanic on the legendary Harrier Jumpjets for Britain's Royal Air Force. From there he moved to cars, but he didn't sacrifice much in the way of speed. The Formula Nippon and Panoz G-Force IRL cars he worked on can reach upwards of 230 mph. That's covering the length of a football field in less than one second.
Speed aficionado that he is, Sullivan's expertise was destined to land his drivers in Victory Lane, and they have. Cars under his watchful eye and veteran direction have won three Indy 500 titles in four yearsa stunning achievementand a win at prestigious Le Mans in 2006. More recently he has worked on Porsche RSR's for Tafel racing, and the sensuous and distinctive Panoz GTLM for Panoz Motorsports. Ed is bound and determined that his track record in auto racing will translate into major success on the Daytona Sportbike circuit.
